A social initiative
Following the closure of rue Sautter, the stops for several bus lines have been moved and the distance to the hospital’s entrance has increased.
To facilitate access for patients and visitors with reduced mobility, HUG has set up a taxi-bike shuttle.
This service, funded by the HUG Private Foundation and supported by the company TaxiBike, has become a socially responsible action thanks to the Hospice Général charity and the Genève Roule association. Three people on a reinsertion scheme followed specific training to become a chauffeur.
