Renovation works
The Beau-Séjour Hospital will undergo renovation works starting from July 2024 and lasting until the summer of 2026.

A smoking shelter is available in the garden next to the cafeteria.
Slippers with backs are on sale at Reception.
In order to be able to carry out treatments in the best possible way,
we recommend that the public comes to the hospital from 10 am onwards.

Your hospital admission
Admission
The Admissions Office is open for you from Monday to Friday from 8 am to 12 pm and from 1 pm to 5 pm. It is located at the main entrance.
Check your insurance policies
If you do not live in the Canton of Geneva or if you are the beneficiary of supplementary insurance, international or foreign insurance, please contact the telephone number +41 22 372 64 37 to check that your hospital stay will be fully covered.
CHECK-LIST
To register you must submit :
- the notification sheet
- insurance card or cover guarantee from your health insurance fund or insurance company
- an identity document (passport, identity card, family record book or residence permit for foreigners living in Switzerland)
- if admitted following an accident: the health insurer’s decision, quoting the claim number
- the decision of the statutory Invalidity Insurance, if this is the reason for your admission to hospital
- a financial deposit or proof of such a deposit if you do not have a full guarantee from a recognized insurance company or if the treatment is not covered by basic health insurance benefits (LAMal)
- if your hospital stay is taking place in a semi-private room, a guarantee request to your insurance company is submitted by the administrative service. You must however sign an administrative consent form.

Green space
A pleasant green park full of flowers throughout the seasons and shaded in summer with its avenues of chestnut trees is located next to the cafeteria. This green space is a welcoming, rejuvenating and soothing space both for hospital patients and their close friends and relatives.
Telephone
If you would like to use a telephone, please contact a nurse so that one can be provided to you. A telephone bill will be sent to you. If you wish, you can also make a prepayment before activating your line. In this case, if the credit balance used is less than the advance payment, the difference will not be refunded to you. If you overrun your prepayment, you will be invoiced at your home address.
Préparation de votre sortie
La date de votre départ est fixée en accord avec votre médecin. Cette sortie est préparée avec vous afin de faciliter votre retour à la vie quotidienne.
Les frais de transport concernant votre retour (domicile, EMS, ou autre destination) sont à votre charge. À noter également qu’en cas de recours à une société de transport, la facture vous sera directement adressée.
Your discharge
CHECK-LIST
Before you leave hospital, please make sure you have received the following :
- a notification of discharge
- a doctor’s sick-leave certificate (if necessary)
- a card indicating your treatment
- a prescription (if necessary)
- a physiotherapy or domiciliary care prescription (if necessary)
- a follow-up appointment with your general practitioner or at the hospital.
Cash machine
The site has a BCGE cash dispenser.
Religious services
Religious services are generally offered on Sundays and on Christian celebration days. The timings are displayed in each unit and sent to the offices of the care teams.

Cash Office
Located at the Admissions Office, the cash office for depositing and withdrawing valuables is open from Monday to Friday from Monday to Friday between 8 am and 12 pm and from 1 pm to 5 p.m. Do not forget to collect your valuables if you are leaving the hospital outside of these hours.
Hairdressing
A hair salon next to the entrance offers hair appointments on Wednesdays from 9 am to 5 pm. This service is at your expense.

Newspapers
Newspapers and magazines are available at Reception. Newspapers, sweet treats and various other items are for sale in the cafeteria.
Laundry
The hospital will provide you with a gown intended for your care. Please remember to bring your own toilet bag, pyjamas or nightdress, dressing gown, slippers, which should preferably have backs - and any other items you may need.
Parking
If you have reduced mobility, the close friend or relative who is accompanying you can park near to the hospital.
To ensure a space they must request a sticker at Reception.
Stamps and mail boxes
Stamps are on sale at Reception. There is a mail box here for you to post your franked mail.
Visiting hours
Close friends and relatives may visit any day between 8 am to 8 pm.
