What is spondylodesis?
Spondylodesis is the fusion of two or more vertebrae.
What are the indications?
Spinal column injury, degenerative changes, recurrent herniated disc, vertebral instability or a fracture may require spondylodesis.
What is the objective?
To reduce vertebral pain and keep the spinal column in the proper position (the so-called anatomical position).
