The Maternity of the University Hospitals of Geneva offers a wide range of courses to help pregnant women and future parents prepare for birth and parenthood. The courses aim to prepare women, partners and couples to become parents and to organise their return at home with their child(ren) under the best conditions.
Courses are given in french.
For your information, the LAMal covers the cost of birth and parenthood preparation courses up to a maximum of CHF 150.
Information courses on epidural use and breastfeeding are not included in the CHF 150 reimbursed as part of childbirth and parenthood preparation courses. However, they are generally reimbursed entirely by the LAMal.
Any absence not notified at least 24 hours before the class will be charged at full rate.
