Born in 1969, Jerome Stirnemann completed medical school and trained in internal medicine in the University of Paris. He had a clinical hospital practice in internal medicine in Paris (assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Paris). Supported by INSERM (Institut national de la santé et de la recherche médicale), he developed epidemiologic research, which lead to the title of PhD from the Paris-Diderot University in 2011.
In addition to clinical activities in the Internal Medicine Department, which he joined in 2012, his current research interests are related to the Gaucher disease, for which he developed the French Gaucher Registry and modelized biomarkers to predict complications.
He remains member of the Referral Center for Lysosomal Diseases (Paris). His goal is to apply these modeling techniques developed in Gaucher disease to other pathologies.
He is involved with teaching for both medical students as well as post graduate training
