The Division’s Clinical Activity
The Division provides the following services in reconstructive plastic surgery and aesthetic surgery
- An Outpatient Center that includes:
- New patient consultation
- Postoperative consultation
- Surgical procedures under local anesthesia
- Hospital Activities, including:
- Consultations throughout the different locations of HUG
- Ambulatory surgery (especially aesthetic surgery)
- Inpatient surgery
- On-call services available 24/7
The Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Division conducts research programs in the following areas:
- Etiology of Noma
- Cutaneous Healing and Chronic Wound Therapy
- Burn Therapy
- Potential of Mesenchymal Stem Cells of Adipose Origin
