The Gastroenterology and Hepatology Division takes care of patients affected by diseases of the liver, biliary tract, pancreas, esophagus, stomach and intestines.
It offers outpatient consultations, day admissions and a traditional inpatient service for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting these organs.
The Division focuses particularly oninterventional endoscopy of the digestive tract, diseases of the liver and biliary tract and, in partnership with the transplant unit, liver transplantation.
HUG is the benchmark center for liver transplants in Western Switzerland.
