Research

The Nephrology and Hypertension Division is involved in an number of research projects in the following areas:

• Acute renal failure 
• Chronic renal failure 
• Renal lithiasis 
• Renal transplantation 

Patients may be invited to take part in a clinical study. This study has been previously approved by the Ethics Commission of the HUG and will be explained in detail to the patient.
The patient is free to agree or refuse to take part in a clinical study without any effect on his/her continuing care.
The patient will not be responsible for any additional costs involved in a study.
