Frédéric Triponez completed his medical studies and basic training in surgery in Geneva.
He finished his training in endocrine surgery (thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal glands) in Lille and San Francisco.
When he returned to Geneva in 2005, he expanded this activity to create the largest Swiss center for endocrine surgery.
He also completed his training in thoracic surgery in Paris at the same time.
Since 2013, he has been the Head Physician of the Thoracic and Endocrine Surgery Division of the HUG, as well as a full professor in the Faculty of Medicine.
He was appointed as the head of the Surgery Department on October 1, 2018.
