Usually treated in outpatient care as part of our specialist consultations, diseases involving the skin, mucous membranes or skin appendages may sometimes require hospitalisation for treatment.
This is the case for certain inflammatory dermatoses, such as psoriasis and eczema, which spread across the whole body and generate significant discomfort. Being hospitalised for several days can facilitate the intensive daily treatments.
Other indications for hospitalisation include :
- chronic wounds requiring surgery
- skin infections (cellulitis) and
- malignant tumours treated in collaboration with our expert oncologists.
