Mission of the Infectious Diseases Division
The Infectious Diseases Division’s objective is to balance clinical activity by responding to the needs of a university hospital, and academic research and education activities with the Faculty of Medicine.
It performs the diagnosis and treatment of all patients suffering from an infectious disease, such as HIV/AIDS patient (FR) where all applicable measures to even stop the progression of their pathology are established in coordination with interdisciplinary care.
Clinical activity is performed by a team of senior physicians having a specialization in infectious diseases and having acquired a specific expertise in infectiology or in microbiology.
The division works in close collaboration with the Bacteriology and Virology Laboratories (Laboratory Medicine Division), Infection Prevention and Control Division, Transplant Surgery Division and the Orthopedic Surgery and Musculoskeletal Trauma Care Division.
