Cytoxlab has developed a method enabling the simultaneous analysis of over 20 antineoplastic drugs at trace levels. The method is based on a simple surface sampling using a swab, which is then analyzed through a selective and sensitive technique. By determining potential contamination of surfaces by anticancer agents, the assessment of personnel exposure to these highly toxic agents becomes possible.
Cytoxlab is a negative-pressure laboratory equipped with automated and confined analytical instruments aimed at minimizing any contact of antineoplastic drugs with personnel and the environment. The Cytoxlab team uses personal protective equipment suitable for handling toxic agents in accordance with standard recommendations.
